Amy Simpson, speaker and writer of numerous resources for Christian ministry, including the award-winning book Troubled Minds: Mental Illness and the Church's Mission (InterVarsity Press). Amy is also Christianity Today's Editor of GiftedForLeadership.com and serves as Senior Editor of Leadership Journal.

Amy, a pastor's daughter, opens her heart and lets us know exactly how she felt growing up with a mentally ill mother. She will change your perspective on mental illness and the more than 25% of us who grapple with it each year. Amy's message brings understanding about mental illness and encouragement to explore new possibilities for ministry to this stigmatized group.

Chicago Christian Counseling Center is praying that God may work through our May 7 event and lead individuals or churches to start a mental health support group. CCCC will provide monthly professional facilitator support free of charge. A general information meeting will be held at our offices on May 14 for those interested or who may have questions.
